This project aims to study the soundscapes of the São João Fair (FSJ) in Évora from 1850 to 1974. The choice of these chronological boundaries is based on the emergence of significant local periodicals starting in 1850, which serve as primary sources for this research. As an exploratory project, we have set 1974 as the upper limit because it marks the end of the Estado Novo dictatorial regime. MORE
